Tajweed Course: Mastering the Recitation of the Quran with Yaqeen School

Do you wish to master the recitation of the Quran and perfect your Tajweed? At Yaqeen School, we offer a comprehensive Tajweed Course to help you achieve this goal.

What is Tajweed?

Tajweed is the science that studies the Quranic words in terms of giving each letter its due right and what it deserves. Its purpose is to protect the tongue from errors in the Book of God in order to attain God’s pleasure.

The Virtue of Learning Tajweed:

  • Following the example of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and the noble Companions.
  • Complying with the command of God Almighty: {And recite the Qur’an with measured recitation.} [Muzzammil: 4].
  • Reaching the love of God Almighty through perfecting the learning, Tajweed, and knowledge of the Quran’s rules.
  • Due to its ties to the Book of God Almighty, Tajweed is one of the most prestigious sciences.

The Ruling on Learning Tajweed:

Applying Tajweed during recitation is a personal obligation for every Muslim who wishes to read the Quran, whether the recitation is in prayer or outside of it.

As for the knowledge of the rules of Tajweed, it is a communal obligation for the general Muslim population. However, for those who teach people and recite to them, learning Tajweed is a personal obligation.
